(The Prohibition of Recruiting Young People for Jihad)
Rafe’e ibn Khadeej said, “My uncle and I came to the Prophet while he was preparing for the battle of Badr. So, I said, ‘O messenger of Allah, I wish to accompany you in this battle.’ The Prophet held my hand, saying, ‘You are still too young to fight.’ I replied, ‘Don’t you know that I can fight back the person who fights me? He did not agree to fight with him though. I did not witness the battle of Badr. In addition, the Prophet did not accompany 14 boys with him as they were young.’
